HELP design school student transfer to LAC!

I am a design school student currently studying towards my BFA, but i have decided i want to transfer out for my junior and senior year to a LAC because i want a more well rounded education. My arts school is very well known and there i have take at least 3 liberal arts courses a year. I have been taking more in our winter semester. I have loved my art school education but feel that by getting a degree in only one design area i am putting myself in too narrow a field. I want to transfer to a college in New York City and i have been looking at Barnard, Eugene Lang college, and NYU gallatin. My high school record is a 3.3 at a very well know public school, and i was extremely involved in my schools activities outside of school. My SATs weren't great but ok at mid 600s for all 3 SAT ONE sections and 700s for my SAT twos. Do i have a chance at any of these schools? Will coming from an art school give me a tremendous disadvantage?

Oh sorry forgot to add my GPA is a 3.8 at my school now

I don't think it will put you at a disadvantage at all in terms of getting into a school. It might just mean that you'll be accepted as Sophomore level transfer if not at Junior.

I am kinda in your shoes as I am looking to transfer out of my art school into a regular university or lac because i also want a more well rounded education.

Luatmoon - as a sophomore, my D transfered from an LAC last year to Eugene Lang/Parsons. She's doing their dual degree program. You might look into it, it'll give you the art portion you love and the liberal arts you feel you need to be more well rounded.
