Hi, I am an international student and I studied for a year
in Suny- Binghamton.
I took a semester off because my mother passed away.
My first year in college was painful and Im glad I chose to
take this semester off because I was able to be with my mom during her last moments.

I graduated from an international high school in one of the South American countries. I lived there for about 9 years, and I am fluent in Spanish, English, and Korean.
I had a 3.9 GPA in HS and a 1940 SAT (660 M 640 for both CR and WR).
I interpreted for 4 years at a local church for about 7-9 hrs per wk.
I also interpreted in several conferences and retreats (some of them as big as 300 people).

I was given admission from Northeastern(some schlarship), Emory, Hofstra (basically full-ride), and Suny-Binghamton.

I really wanted to go to Emory, but I chose Binghamton due to financial reasons (hospitals are not cheap..).

My college Gpa is 3.3
I received above 3.5 during my first semester, so I grabbed some confidence and took
20 credits for my second semester with 3 upper level courses because I wanted to graduate early.
That was a complete mistake and I got 2 Cs on intro level courses (general phyc and intro to elementery logic)but did well on my upper level ones.

During the time that I was taking a semester off, I worked for 2 months in a company that was seeking to build nuclear power plants in South America and now Im working for a company that will become a governmental body for a south american country (Cant write the details as things are confidential for now.. but I interpreted in a meeting with the president and the vice president of a south american country)

I feel like my mom will be happier if I continue in life instead of being depressed. So now I want to transfer to one of the top schools but Im worried that my college GPA is too low..
Now I wont have to worry about providing for my tuition if I can make it to the top schools(I really want tufts..).

I will appreciate any comments, advices, or even criticisms.
Thank u.
