My friend is a rising junior and she wants to be a field biologist. She's looking for schools with good biology programs that will prepare her for this career (so good research opportunities in animal biology and preferably a good study abroad program). Also, she is ONLY looking at schools that have an equestrian team. She's okay with considering women's colleges, and for now she's open to any location, setting, and type of school. However, she does show some preference for LACs.
I can't really give her stats because she hasn't taken the SAT yet, but basically she's an "A-" student. Her ECs are pretty good: active participation in the Environmental Club, riding horses, working at a stable, studio art, and interesting after-school science classes.
Thanks in advance for helping!

LOL, my D’s search started out the same way!

Here is a link to colleges that have an IHSA team (Intercollegiate Horse Show Assn.)
404; IHSA is suitable for riders of all levels, from beginner to advanced, both hunt seat and stock seat.

If she wants to see them grouped by geographic region, she can go to [Campus Equestrian: Information, including results, stories and archives from the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), ANRC, USA Equestrian, USET, rated shows, riding academies, horse trainers and all things riding-related](http://www.campusequestrian.com/) and click on the map for the area in which she is interested.

If she is an upper level hunter rider (Medal/Maclay) and is interested in varsity equestrian teams, she can visit [Varsity Equestrian - The Official Site of NCAA Varsity Equestrian](http://www.varsityequestrian.com/)

Here are colleges that are members of the ANRC (American National Riding Commission) http://www.anrc.org/section.asp?section_id=21
