Help finding Grad school

Hi friends! I am a soprano voice junior getting my Bachelor of music performance voice at a good small liberal/conservatory in Florida. I am looking for a Graduate School with a very strong Opera Performance program. I am particularly interested in schools in NY, Texas, And Tennessee but willing to go anywhere for the right school. PEASE HELP! Thank you!!

@“Mezzo’sMama” might be able to chime in.
Indiana University is known for opera and CIM also I believe. I’m sure there are lots of other programs that I am not as familiar with.
What does your current teacher think?
Vanderbilt has a wonderful conservatory but I believe it does not have graduate programs. Outside of that University of Tennessee probably has the strongest music school programs in the state of TN, excepting Belmont which I think is more geared to contemporary music.
I don’t know how to do it but maybe getting a moderator to edit the title of your thread to include opera or vocal performance would get the attention of posters who have more familiarity with those programs.
Good luck!

Thank you! Maybe i will delete this post and make a new one with a better title!

Your teacher should be a good resource, and peers. We cannot tell what level of selectivity in a program you might want. In NYC there are Juilliard and Manhattan School of Music, Boston has New England Conservatory and Boston Conservatory. I really don’t know much about opera/vocal performance though so hope someone else chimes in or the title of the thread can be changed.
