Hello Everyone! I have a few years until I'm old enough to apply, but I have started looking into boarding schools anyways to find the perfect one. Some of the things that I'm looking for may seem unreasonable or impossible to know for sure, I'm sorry, I'm still kind of knew to this whole thing so yah. I just REALLY encourage you to help me, because not only would I thank you a bunch, but you could help someone else... even if you can't find a school that fits everything. Thank You!

~I'm really good at Math and Science, so I'm looking at boarding schools that have top of the line Math and Science programs (or one or the other). I did see a post that some schools like Exeter are good for Math and Science, while Lawrenceville is more English or History. I don't know how true those two things are, but that's what I read.
~I'd like a school that has an especially good girls lacrosse team; jv and v.
~Community service opportunities... lots!
~I like how Andover has that thing where you can like take a class on directing or designing. I don't know if that's just because I'm a total kid, or that it's actually a good program.
~A favorable amount of financial aid available, just in case Caroline D. Bradely doesn't work out.
~Diversity!
~Has to be in New England

I know no one is going to end up answering... but I would really appreciate any sort of help with any of these things. PLEASE! Ok, I'm done begging. Thank you in advanced!

Exeter, Andover, and Hotchkiss, etc… All fit well.

You can search for boarding schools based on different criteria. Once you get a preliminary list of schools, start researching each individual school and see if they meet your specific requirements.

Well, I saw on your post that in 6th grade you are already starting Algebra 1…which is pretty advanced for your age. So when looking for school, definitely look for high schools that offer or allow you to take courses past the traditional Calculus. Looking on the course catalogs, (There aren’t a lot I’ve looked at for this…since math isn’t my selling point) Exeter has lots to offer in the math department. Of course the other HADES schools have many classes too. I would look a lot into stuff like location, size, etc. as well because that can really distinguish one school from another.

kent has many community service opportunities

First of all, the beatles rock! Thank you for telling me about looking for schools that go past Calculus, that didn’t even cross my mind.

For people who have visited Andover and Exeter, which one has a bigger and better science department? Does their happen to be any other school that is really strong in that field?

@overandover98,
Both Andover and Exeter have great science departments. Andover advertises a research course in molecular biology in their viewbook. From the criteria you listed above, Andover and Exeter would work out great for you. Also, you should check out some other well respected boarding schools just to see what you like. Look at:

St. Paul’s School, Concord NH
Deerfield Academy, Deerfield MA
Groton School, Groton MA
Middlesex School, Concord MA
St. Mark’s School, Southborough MA
The Hotchkiss School, Lakeville CT
Milton Academy, Milton MA
Concord Academy, Concord MA
Kent School, Kent CT
Choate Rosemary Hall, Wallingford CT
Taft School, Watertown CT
St. George’s School, Newport RI
Governor’s Academy, Byfield MA

If you want to narrow down the list, you should decide whether or not you want a big boarding school. There are pros and cons to each- bigger schools tend to have better facilities, more teams and opportunities, and more classes, but if you’re not the best, you don’t tend to stand out (bad for college and for teams).
