Hi, This Year I was rejected at Exeter, the only school I applied to. Next Year, I will apply to more than one school, but I wanted to know some schools that would fit me, because I am quite torn-

-I am male
-I will be applying for 9th grade as a repeat.
-I want a school with a formal dress code
- schools with a rural campus, but not in "the middle of no-where"
- fairly large schools with about 1000 students
- schools with diversity.
-Co-ed
-Harkness method for at least most classes
-schools with a balenced education system-Exellent math and science as well as humanities
-"not too" strict schools
-A strong sports program, especially for basketball
-A strong music program
-A school that will allow me to go beyond the curriculum and also to do community sevice
-A more compact campus

Check out St. Mark’s School in Southborough.

It is small, around 340 students. It has a dress code, but not as formal as Exeter’s.

Competitive basketball, community service, more compact campus, interesting math, science & humanities. It has its own spirit–I would not call it an “Exeter clone.”

Would you consider all-boys schools? Which of your criteria are most essential? Your list reads to me as, “as much like Exeter as possible.”

With the exception of the dress code, you should visit Andover as well.

Well, I do not believe I would go to an all-boys school. I think that the most important thing to me is the breadth of classes mostly with Harkness. I love Deerfield for their sports and music programs as well as the campus, but is Deerfield on the same level with E and A academically? (I also want a school with 600+ Students) Thanks so much for the input!!

Faris, I’m not saying this to be rude or shallow at all although it may sound like that over the internet, (lol) what made you unique as a person? And what can make me “unique”?
