Help! I have one day to decide between AP Psych and French IV. I really want to go into marketing and advertising and I’m truly interested in Psychology but I also have taken French for three years and feel that it would look bad to stop now. I also have AP Chem, Calc BC, and English as my other AP classes. I don’t know what to do! I’m leaning more towards Psych right now but would continuing French look better? Thanks, and feel free to ask any questions!
Continuing to build on French may be helpful if you end up doing marketing and advertising to French speakers.
Introductory psychology is a common one semester course offered in college.
As long as no colleges you are planning to apply to requires 4 years of foreign language then either option is fine.
I personally think AP psych is the better choice, given your intended major. Taking the test and doing well will probably help you either get credit or place out of an intro class. AP French would do the same, but you aren’t giving that as a choice. Plus, AP psych is interesting. In terms of helping you in your college schedule, I think psych is the better choice.
Take one as an online course, and one at your school. Online school for girls (if you’re a girl) or online independent school (coed) have both options.
Thank you everyone! I ended up choosing ap psych
