Help Getting My Personal Statement Going?

I began the Penn State application 2 weeks ago and the only part that I have left is the personal statement. I k so that its “optional” but Penn State is my top choice and I don’t want to make it look like I’m just applying to apply.

I don’t know how to make my statement sound good. I don’t have a very outward personality, or a story that makes me special/ different.

But I want to express my interest in attending Penn State.

Any advice Ir reply at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Do you have any other essays written already? For the Common App, for a scholarship…? The prompt is pretty vague so you could reuse a lot of things for it.

Write a letter to your future self, saying what you hope to accomplish while at Penn State? Ask your friends and family what they find most unique about you. Teachers are a good resource, too.
