This weekend I submitted my applications for Georgia State University and Mercer University on commonapp. To much of my inconvenience, the ACT website was down and I was not able to correctly self report my scores. I accidentally put a 30 for my composite English and writing score even though that is incorrect. Is there anything that I can do to correct the mistake or should I contact the colleges that I submitted the application to. As of now I have not sent them my scores from the official ACT website.
Did you fill up the form the day of submission and you have no hard copy of score report on hand? Although you may contact the adcom to correct that and the self reported score isn’t that critical, but it reflects the carelessness and the lack of planning of you. I told my D to fill in all those information at least a month before submission. Only the essays could be still pending revision until the day of submission. Also, print out the previews to verify all information and the text formatting in the essay. Finally, make sure you submit the order the score report at least a week, but preferably 2 weeks or longer, before deadline. Indeed, one should submit the score before the application unless it is still pending.
Thank you for the reply
I filled out the application the week before the deadline but didn’t check my test scores until right before I submitted it.
I also applied to Mercer but surprisingly, the website had crashed continuously on collegeboard because too many were submitting at a time. What were your stats like for Mercer? domestic/international etc? @Byronh
