off the waitlist

i currently go to miami
why did i find out this late? i didnt get anything from them. whens move in day? orientation? first day of class? hows housing?

this is a mess

move-in is August 17th - that's when orientation starts -

so we stay on campus until class starts?

classes start august 23rd...trust me you'll be busy...

if you have any questions send me an email...

WOW this must be soo exciting lol congrats!!!!!!

hey thanks
im looking at the map. where do transfers live?

top right of north campus HASBROUCK APTS...

hasbrouck? you're nuts to live there.

hit up carl becker, floor 3. are you from umiami? what year? did you live in hecht?

Welcome!!!

I didn't know people on the wait list were still being called.

What school did you get into?

CONGRATS.

Wow congrats, that's great! U'll be getting loads of stuff in the mail soon probably. Cya at Cornell!

im going to ILR. thanks for asking. whats gt?
hasbrook looks far. do i have a choice?

Yeah it is pretty far, but there is a bus that comes by every 10 minutes. I think new students get free bus passes but I am not sure about transfers. If not, the bus pass will cost $200. I think you can also live on West Campus in one of the newer dorms.

OMG, it's August 1st? That's a total mess, not only for you, but for them. You don't have any paperwork or anything in order that other students have been doing for months. I'd be on the phone with Cornell 24/7 to get it all straightened out.

All the work will be well worth it. Congrats!

im sure it will all work out...conrats!

ooo ILR that’s great!!!! ya definitely be in close contact with them for a while...u’ll be just fine tho! and about the housing situation, the west is definitely closer to things lol (it might be a better choice imo…but Hasbrouck is where most of the transfers are…)

i'm sure they'll be sending you more info soon. if the worst comes true, you can always join some kind of group on facebook and have your answers answered.
... OR
you can do what i and a multiple annoying others do, and post a string of detailed questions in one day, here in the CC, and have other more experienced people tell you what to do.
... OR
call/email Cornell

CONGRATS on getting in : ) !!!!

congrats, and oh, say goodbye to the nice warm weather in miami. I was from Arizona, the Phoenix area. I missed the 124 degrees of dry heat with no humidity, but I survived two years of cornell winter with undershirt, t-shirt, sweater, and jacket (no need for bulky coat).

I'd choose West over Has anytime.

welcome to the ILR family ;) I'd suggest picking Hasbrouck Apartments so you can be with other transfers.

Congrats on ILR!

Hey, I was headed to Yale when I got news on August 4th that I was accepted as exchange student to Germany and had to leave for one year there in only three days. That was hectic! Spent year in Berlin, rethought college and went to Cornell the next year. You can get it together. Congratulations!
