Okay I got my scores back from my May 2, 2015 SAT and it was horrible. I actually did try to practice with the Princeton review books, but still ended up with a bad score. I had got a 430 on Reading, 480 on Math and 380 on Writing. But, to be honest I was never good at writing. I always had problems with my grammar/ identifying grammar errors and I didn’t have enough time to try the practice test while being timed.Luckily, I’m in 11th grade so I playing to practice for my SAT during the summer but I don’t know where to start. Please give me any suggestions, tips or advice for practicing or scoring higher on the SAT.All suggestions are welcomed.

Luckily, it’s not very difficult to improve your writing score! In fact it’s only a few rules that you need to grasp and then apply to a bunch of different examples. Any book that explains these errors like Barron’s or Princeton Review can help you out there. There’s a lot of pdfs online as well that can help. My tip is that on your worst sections, go back and correct them then write next to the answer why your original answer was incorrect. There’s something about that that makes a big difference! And also the words that you see in your practice exams, write them down and try to memorize their meanings. More often than not similar or even the same words appear in the real SAT.
