HELP! I used a blue pen on my NMSF Application!!

Omg, I just realized I did my entire nmsf app in BLUE PEN and they asked for BLACK. What should I do? Do I redo the whole thing or do you think they'll still accept it?

will it get me automatic rejection b/c it shows i can't follow directions/don't read them??

I did the same exact thing and have the same exact question. My guidance counselor told me to write over it in black ink, but I'm not sure. BTW, it's good to know I'm not the ONLY person in the entire country dumb enough to have done this. My guidance counselor sort of implied that I was.

Totally popped out of my head, but maybe if you sent in a photocopy...

That application could rattle anyone's nerves!

I suggest you call National Merit Scholarship Corp. and ask them; they will offer you the best advice. 1-847-866-5100. They're in Illinois and I don't think they open until 8:30 central standard time. I had to phone them about a question I had last week and they were helpful with my question. Might as well get the correct answer about what to do!

Good luck and congratulations!

OM************!!!!!!

DAMN! i just sent it with red ink!!!!!

i know i got someone... who is it hahaha

hahaha!!!

wait i did the same thing!

oops. I doubt it matters that much.

Did anybody else put in "USA" where it asks for County? Oops!

******* UPDATE********

I called the corp and they said that as long as they could read it, any color of ink was fine.

^yeah i did too and a lady told me the same thing. yay haha:) i can finally sleep peacefully again, lol jk.

I think I may have put USA for county,
but then the other part of my swears that I corrected it.

I bet a ton of people have done that, things don't usually ask for your County...then again why would they ask for our Country, right?

Omg I think I put USA seriously =x. I'm going to have to go chase down my application tomorrow.

I think I win this game: for top choice college I put Columbia University, New York City, New Jersey. Luckily I caught it in time, but now New York is written over a cross out.
