I am honored to have been admitted into fall, but I realized in late December that I wish I would have applied summer B. When sending a request to the Office of Admissions, what is a good reason to tell them I want to do a term change?

Why do you want to do Summer B?

I want to prepare myself better for fall into the college transition as well as studies, and to hopefully get further insight into what major I want ahead of time. I applied undecided

Summer B gets a bad rep from people. But it actually gives you an advantage cause you know the campus before it gets really congested in the fall. Plus its law now that you need so many summer credits so you might as well get them out of the way.

I didnt want it cause I had a job all summer. Also, something to keep in mind, this place feels and smells like swamp in the summer. It can get pretty humid.

I’d just stay with fall. Although your reason is fairly legitimate, you might as well just stick with what you got at this point. 1) Avoid the hassle of trying to change it. 2) Start when the vast majority of the other freshman are starting. Trust me, if you’re lost, thousands of other kids will be too.
