I mean,I just can't figure out the science section!!! I've tried many things! I mapped the whole passage, yet I get most of the questions wrong. Please, I NEED help!!!

Go directly to the questions, get comfortable with interpreting graphs/charts, and REALLY pay attention to the questions/answers. I feel like this is the only section that tries to trick you.

Thank you soo much. I’m starting to get the hang of it now!!! When you took the ACT, what did you get on the Science Section?

Like act lows said go first to the questions. They give you so much info to read and you don’t need a lot of it. As long as you can interpret the info you are fine. You don’t need an extreme amount of science, but rather you need reasoning skills. Most people have trouble with completing this section than any other. And if you are running out of time, guess and leave nothing unanswered.

I got a 24 the first time because I was so unprepared for the time constraints. the second time I got a 29 Just goes to show how much the difficulty/preparation can drastically change your score. good luck!

I agree reading the passage can waste time. I skim them for no more than a minute.

Label your charts and graphs. They never have a meaningful title.

I use this order, it may work for you

Data Analysis 5 questions passages

Research Summaries-6 questions

Conflicting view points-7 questions

Thank you kansaskid1! Btw, I missed this past ACT because my center was canceled. I mean, this might sound like a stupid question, but is the ACT going to use the same test they used yesterday?
