HELP... Info on Colorado

Hey, I love colorado, and would love to go to school there, but am not really sure of which colleges are the best. I am looking for a college that has a visual arts program, and an english program, but is also fairly large and well known... I am doing other research, but it would be great to get some info from real people....

just thought i would verify that by visual arts i mean things like drawing, painting, sculpture, etc. NOT drama and things like that....

now i am sad... a good number people have looked at this and nobody has replied? are there simply no good schools in colorado, or are they just not very well known

University of Colorado-Boulder springs to mind. It is huge, has the programs you're looking for, and is definitely well known and respected at the regional and national levels. Good athletics and right near the mountains, too. I am going to apply there next year.

University of Colorado-Boulder is a good school in Colorado. It is really big, good parties, good academics, and good athletics. It is really pretty 2! check out this pic... http://cires.colorado.edu/jimenez/boulder_overview.jpg

Here are the only 17 schools (according to collegeboard.com) that are 4-year, coed, and have some sort of english program. ** Not all of these have art **.

Colorado College
US Air Force Academy* (No art major what to speak of)
UC-Boulder**
U of Denver*
Colorado State U**
UC-Colorado Springs*
UC-Denver*
Colorado Christian U
U of Northern Colorado**
Regis U
Western State College of Colorado
Fort Lewis College
Metropolitan State College of Denver
Naropa U
Mesa State College*
Colorado State: Pueblo*
Adams State College

Ones with asteriks have over 4000 students (but are not necessarilly the most well-known). Two asteriks are over 10,000.
Colorado College is very good academically and offers a major in studio art, but it is much smaller than Boulder and the likes.

The University of Northern Colorado (UNCO) has a nice art program. So does CU Boulder. UNCO is cheaper and gives much better financial aid to out-of-state students.
