hi there, i am an international and taking the subject test in latin on dec 5. i really need a good score (applying to ivies) and i underestimated the vocabulary used on the test (we have been using dictionaries since 3rd yr latin) i have taken 5 years of latin, good in grammar, but since i have relied on the dictionary for so long, i am VERY anxious about the vocab tested. i ordered the latin vocab book recommended, but due to frieking amazon it will not arrive in time!! please, are there any lists on the internet (gosh, i have been looking for hours!!) or any pieces where frequently used words are used??
please help!! thanks

Why would anyone study latin …

because in my school we don´t cover the same topics as in an american high school in all the sciencesubjects. im too bad at french to get a 700+ and i am already taking world hs as 2nd… and because i had 5 years of latin.
choices are kinda limited when you don´t go to a high school; the tests are so limited to the topics you do it is really hard when you don´t know the curriculum.
any helpful advice??

Austriangirl, my dad is Austrian!!! He’s from Weiz, outside of Graz. I think most of the vocab on the SAT II Latin (which I took) are words you would be familiar with, having taken latin for 5 years. It’s not necessary to know what every single word means, just to be able to understand the grammar and figure out word meanings through context. I remember there being a few AP Latin Vergil study guides online, but I’m not sure where they were. Good luck!!! If I can do anything else, please feel free to PM me.
