I will never forgive you.

Aghhh, NOOOOOO!!! You MUST forgive me!!! I WILL NOT stop until you forgive me :)

Perhaps you should have considered this before choosing to not make me a sandwich.

It’s spelled grammar…

go eat a hot dog.

■■■■■ much?? are you effing serious right now? anyone would kill for that score. one word of advice: RELAX. people like you need to CHILL. u know what, i hope that if you don’t get into the school of your dreams, you blame it on the score, cuz that WOULD be the main reason wouldn’t it?

I have this one annoying neighbor…

it’s spelled graymyr

Why do you even bother living, blueberry?
Raise your score by another 100, then come talk to us; we might put your posts in our slush pile.

I’m sorry, but who r u Francaisalamatt?

No, a 2310 is terrible and not even a community college would take you.

In all seriousness, though, a 2310 is excellent. I’ve heard of people being accepted to Ivies with scores around 2100 or 2200, so you’re definitely clear. Instead of obsessing over a perfect test score (which colleges will not find admirable) work on your ECs. That’s what will really help you in the long run.

^ agreed!!!

I fail to understand why people open up with a sarcastic comment like “Not even good enough for community college” and then take a serious tone.

I guess that makes you a failure then :)

(Hey you guys, the OP is not from here and might not get the sarcasm -although i twas very funny.)

A 2310 is fine. Focus on other parts of your application.

tis true
if you’re going to be sarcastic you have to hold it the whole post; nay, the whole thread

doesn’t read post

Yes, its good enough

Blueberrychirm, your scores are excellent. However, most of these other posters don’t realize how very difficult the competition is for international students, especially Asian students. If you think you can do better on a re-test give it a try – or take the ACT instead, which may give you a higher equivalent score, since it has a science section.

^ A 2310 is definitely good enough, even for an Asian. It may not hold true for all schools but as MITChris, an admissions officer, said, and I’m paraphrasing here, the SAT score is just used to determine whether you can handle the work at MIT. He also said there are certain thresholds, if I’m correct, for SAT I and II scores. They check that you are above those thresholds and from that point onwards the scores make no difference.

A 2310 is a fine score and should put you in the running for whichever schools you’re applying to. And yes, it is completely possible for international students to be accepted at HYPSM with SAT scores below 2300, or even below 2200… a kid at my first HS, who was a non-U.S. citizen, (to my knowledge) unhooked, not a URM nor a recruited athlete, got into Harvard and Stanford with an SAT score of 2180. I’m guessing his application stood out in other ways – perhaps his essays/recs were brilliant. I didn’t read them, but you get the idea. Basically, your score’s competitive. :)
