Help me about dorms....thanks

<p>I am an out of state accepted student to Wisconsin and will probably be attending this fall and am at a loss regarding the dorm options.</p>

<p>I do not want to be in the private dorms. Can anyone give a bit of a run down on the other dorm options in terms of their personality?</p>

<p>When I visited Madison several years ago, I believe Ogg was being torn down? What went up in its place and what is it like? </p>

<p>I believe there was another one being built that was suppose to be very nice nearby also but I don't remember the name of it? Can anyone tell me about that one?</p>

<p>I'm also in the process of choosing a dorm. From everything I've heard (I know several people who currently or previously attended Madison) the Southeast dorms are the party dorms and the Lakeshore dorms are the more studious dorms. I know Ogg has been rebuilt or reconstructed or whatever and is now one of the nicer dorms (but costs extra).</p>
