I am already applying to U of Georgia, U of Maryland, Georgia State, and Emory University. (I live in Georgia, btw.)

I need some more good match schools to apply to.
GState is a safety and Emory is (obviously:) a reach. Maryland and Georgia seem like good matches, IMO.

Could you describe the kind of environment you want to be in? (Big vs. small, private vs. public, South vs. North, cooperative vs. competitive, etc.)

I mean, you ask for suggestions, but there's such a wide range of colleges that you forget where you're going to be happy (not just prestige or where you think you'll get into).

Sorry, I should be more specific. I prefer a large school in the north, with a more liberal, diverse populaton. Public or private doesn't matter, because if it's out of the state, the money... is nearly the same.

I am a very literature and history type of person- NOT science or math.

I know you want large, but I'm tempted to recommend LACs...they seem perfect for what you're asking. Sarah Lawrence comes to mind. So does Skidmore. On a larger scale, maybe UVM.

University of Colorado (or is that too far?)
PennState
UNH
sorry, i'm not much of a help beyond that. I have friends at those 3 big schools who sound like you, but I'm looking at small LACs.

Your SAT is a little low but Boston University may be a fit for you. It meets all your criteria.

Since you're applying to Emory anyway, also look at Oxford@Emory.. it's free to apply to if you're applying to Emory as well, and it's much easier to get into.
