I got a parking ticket as i was in line to buy a new permit for the whole day at 7:30 in the morning. The guy wrote me up even though i told him i was getting the permit right then! the time difference between the parking ticket and my new permit was two minutes because there was a person in front of me -____- has anyone appealed their ticket before? i wanna know how successful you were in getting the fine lifted. please help! thanks

Tough to say…
You will probably get off because its only like 50 bucks right? And theres no extra fees involved on either side, but this is like a illegal tow case where someone could have parked in a lot ilegally to go to another store, come out, see there car is being towed, then quickly hop into the correct store for the lot and buy a drink or something and say “see”

lol what a noob. you should have parked in the westwood parking lot or have gotten legit street parking.

I do not see how this makes him a “noob”.

Anyway.

Good luck.

You do notice that the parking lot next to the parking office have metered parking and you can just get them to reimburse the amount when you show them your metered receipt and get your parking pass…

Follow the instructions on the ticket and fight it. Show them the proof and explain the situation clearly. They took 3 months to review my ridiculous parking citation, but eventually they waived it and I owed nothing.

They usually give you a small grace period after you park your car to go buy a permit.

hey zer0c123 did you check with them after 1 month? my ticket is still on “held” after a month

I kept checking on the parking ticket website for updates for the first few weeks. Eventually I just forgot about it until they sent me letter saying sorry and no charge. Fighting tickets from campus or city takes forever for a decision to be made. As long as it says “hold” on payment, you just sit back and wait.

Hold probably means they received your appeal, but have not done an administrative review yet.
