Ok,
First thing you need to know...
I am going to attend Keene State College (which is low-tier I am pretty sure) however, I plan on being involved with the Honors College, and I am going to do several internships, a study abroad, and probably 2 or 3 clubs.
Next:
I have an interest in Graphic Design. I have a portfolio already (out of high school) request if you want to see it =). I got into KSC's art program (which is pretty competitive).
I am very good at writing and critical thinking. I like communicating with others and solving problems in groups.
I am not very good at either science or mathematics, however, with alot of effort I could get by.
WHAT IM WORRIED ABOUT:
Graphic Design is a very competitive job field, and the highest pay I will probably see is around $50k. I'm not saying that a degree will for sure make me alot of money, but I do plan on internships and all of that. Also, will the college prestige matter?
What are some other majors that I could look into, in case I end up not liking graphic design and want to actually make some money when I am older.
-OR-
Could I do a double major in graphic design and something such as applied computer science, or management, then I could go in multiple career directions?
Does it matter what college you go to as long as you try your hardest, get good grades, do internships, clubs, ect.? or is college prestige very important. I mean there are 5000 other kids at keene...Help me out!
message me if you'd like, I have to figure out what I am doing by the end of this month.
-OR-
I could also go to keene to get rid of the basic courses and then transfer to a college such as UNH,where there are more options for me.
Your help is appreciated and thank you to whoever answers my questions!
