Im agonizing over my college choice and running out of time to decide. Im trying to decide between Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR and University of Redlands in Redlands, CA. I live in Orange County, CA, so the drive to Redlands is about an hour and flight to Portland is about 2 hours. I would live on campus at either one, but would have more opportunity to come home from Redlands. Lewis & Clark would cost me an additional $5, 168 per year in student loans, not including interest or fees. So, the cost is much higher at Lewis & Clark and Ive also discovered that Redlands would grant me more credit for AP test that could shorten my time spent on degree overall. Im thinking of becoming a teacher and could possibly use that additional time at the end of my four years to start working early on my accreditation. The thing that stopping me from picking Redlands is that I fell in love with the beautiful campus and surrounding are of Portland. What should I do?

Does the 5K cost for Lewis and Clark include a work study job? Also you have to keep in mind airline costs back and forth. I would try to make Lewis and Clark happen.

no the 5K difference is loans. i have work study as part of the package, but the 5K is on top of that.

I have the exact problem! I think L & C is more interesting, but Red lands is $5,500/yr cheaper!! What school did you choose???

This thread is four years old!!
