As of now, I have 2 options:

Option 1- Take a D in Precalculus Honors for 1st semester.

Option 2- Convert it to a Pass/Fail grade and take the "Pass" grade instead of a D.

If you were me, which option would you go with?
Basically, which one would hurt my transcript less?

Crap, never mind. I just found out I can’t do the pass/fail thing. =[
A “D” it is. Hopefully a C if I work my butt off over break.

What grade are you in?

Well, does your school do grades by semester?

Mine does, so BAA–>A while BAB–>B…(third is midterm grade)

Well, I think the consensus is pass/fail, but damn, that sucks.

I’m a junior. Having a rough first semester. :/

I got a D first quarter so here are my options for making a C:

(1st quarter-2nd quarter-semester exam–>semester grade)
DDA–>C
DDB–>C
DCA–>C
DCB–>C
DCC–>C

Honestly, a D isn’t that bad. Yes it sucks, but it isn’t the end of the world. How are your other grades?

I’ve gotten all As and 2 Bs (one freshman year, one sophomore year). There’s also a C on my transcript from the time of dropping a class, but it’s not actually factored into my GPA. Still, colleges will see it. I’m a bit wary of having a C and then a D on my transcript from one single semester.

Colleges know people go through tough times. Especially during Junior year where so much is expected of them. Just relax. You’re fine.
