Help me decide on a school

What are some pros and cons of the following schools:
LSU
Mizzou
University of Oklahoma
University of Alabama

I want to be a teacher and go to school in the south, to a school with a good football team, lots of school spirit, and a good dance team along with a good secondary education program
These are some schools I'm considering..can anyone give me a hand?!

Missouri and Oklahoma aren’t really southern. The regional cultures there are different than LSU and Alabama which are ensconsed in the “deep south”.

That said, they’re all fine universities. Good luck.

Since all 4 of them are ~same region and ~same prestige, choose the one that gives you the most financial aid.

None of those schools will give an OOS student much “need-based aid.”

However, if you have high stats, some will give you merit aid.

LSU and Alabama which are ensconsed in the “deep south”.

LSU is in Cajun country…not really the “deep south” culture.

Alabama is in Tuscaloosa…a large city that also isn’t deep in “southern culture.”

Neither is **ensconced **in the deep south culture.

God I suck at spelling. I corrected someone on another thread and I’m pretty sure that in the course of doing so I misspelled “misspelled” (mispelled?). ;-)

I’ll grant you that LSU is a different flavor of southern, but my experience is that both are very southern culture schools. Especially Alabama! Then again, I’m a Tennesseean, and we darn near touch Illinois, so what do I know? ;-)

well thank you! these are things i have known and considered…i know all of these schools will have a different regional atmosphere, I’m looking for warmth versus culture is what I meant…just to clarify

Especially Alabama!

Well, since I’m certain that I’ve spent a lot more time on Bama’s campus than you ever will, I can say that you’re wrong…very wrong.

so what do I know?

Like I said…
