Help me find out a way to prepare for my subjects! need suggestions badly.

Well currently I am taking classes for math IIC and Bio. My math class is based on the ti-89 calculator and guarantee a 150-200 point increase after learning it's calculator functions that they provide you. This is a blessing to have, but I am struggling on just knowing how to do problems that the calculator can not do. I am currently in algebra II as a junior so I haven't learned a lot of the concepts that are on the test. What book could I purchase that will help me catch up with a lot of the concepts that are needed for the test?

Secondly, I am struggling in the Bio class. I have not taken AP Bio and I don't understand what is going on in the class. They teach as if you already too AP Bio. I took bio in 9th grade and passed with a C. I don't remember much and just know some basic concepts I have learned in my Anatomy & Physiology class such as the break down of the cell and the structure of the heart and how it functions. Again, could you suggest me a book I can purchase that will teach me everything I need to know for the Bio subject test?

Math - Barron’s does a good job teaching the concepts but its practice tests are MUCH harder than the real thing (680 equates to an 800). It over-prepares you, which may be a good or a bad thing.

Sorry don’t know anything about Bio.

Woah! Slow down there.

It doesn’t sound like you are prepared for either of these things and it comes across like you are rushing to get this done/learn.

Could you possibly take a different test BESIDES biology. The books are meant for REVIEW. To get those “Oh yea…” moments. Not to teach you everything. Maybe you could take US History?

Good luck!
