What you guys Think? TT

My friend got in with a 2.7 GPA but his SAT score was 2300.

Do you have good ECs and an OUTSTANDING essay planned to go with your nice test scores? =o

ummm I had great essays but not that great EC TTTTT

Oh no. T__T

Are you applying next year or did you already apply this year?

THis year CathyTT Acually my unofficial didn’t load TT does it mean that I am rejected?

Your subject tests help out a lot but your GPA is quite low… Best wishes! I think there is still a chance but I wouldn’t put my life on it :X!

uw doesn’t consider sat subject tests for admissions.

As much as I’d like to say you have outstanding SATIIs, UW could care less about those numbers. Really sorry to say, but that’s the truth.

I think it all comes down to 3 things: personal statement, GPA, and ECs. Personal statement because it was a chance to reveal who you are and they try to see if you handled it well. GPA over SAT, because although both are academic measurements, the GPA is over a period of time. And lastly, ECs because it also reveals what kind of person you are and whether or not you have commitment.

So, without your transcript in my hand at this moment, (and say you wrote a mediocre personal statement) I will say I would be surprised if you got rejected. But your GPA doesn’t measure up to your SAT so that’s a little questionable… But if you had a stellar personal statement, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in.

As a Korean, I’ll just say be patient and take your mind off of it. The decisions probably been made so why panic… Hey if you don’t mind me asking, what major did you indicate and what state are you from?

I am studying abroad in Ohio, and I intend to my major as a communication. TT thank you so much!! TT

Your unofficial transcript hasn’t loaded? Well if it’s still on “we have received all materials.” you are still safe.

After it switches to “we have reviewed” and the transcript still doesn’t load for a few days. Then that’s the bad sign. :(
