Help me out with my chances?? Thanks.

Hey y'all, I'm a sophomore. I know I have some time before applying to college, but could you guys evaluate my shots?? I know what I'm doing next year anyways.

Oh, by the way: I'm graduating early at the end of my junior year and then taking a gap year before I apply to college. My gap year will be spent abroad doing four different projects; a Thai photography expedition, an African game reserve project, a Belize, Costa Rica or Spanish trip (orphanage/general community service) and then another service-related project. I think this'll boost my chances, which is why I'm telling y'all, but more importantly that's why I won't be listing anything for my senior year.
All right, here we go.

Female, white, live in NC
Graduated at 15, applying while 16
Top 10% at a really difficult public school
(2 Bs freshman year put me at 40/470, so I should be higher than that . . . hoping for top 5%)
All honors when possible, 3 APs junior year
Like I said, two Bs freshman year (GPA: 4.2 W, 3.7 UW)
All As sophomore year (GPA: 4.5 W, 4.0 UW)
All As junior year (GPA: 5.3 W, 4.0 UW)
SAT will be around 1500

I'm looking at Emory, U Chicago, U Penn, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brandeis, GW, Duke, and NYU but let me know if those are way off or if you have any other suggestions (planned major is Political Science).

Honors and Awards
National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, some form of AP Scholar, a National Merit Semi-Finalist or Finalist, Mayor's Award for community service, winner of two photography contests and recipient of two scholarships

ECs (remember, I won't have a senior year)
Student Government 10, 11 (10: accepted to executive committee 11: vice-president)
Spanish Club 10, 11
Gay-Straight Alliance 9, 10, 11 (11: co-president)
Youth Performing Arts Conservatory 10, 11 (10 and 11: lead roles in performances)
Photography 9, 10, 11, 12ish (won two contests)
Duke TIP Scholar Weekends 10, 11
Society of Women Scholars 10, 11 (10 and 11: selective admission 11: vice-president??)

Work Experience
Paid legal assistant for mother, Orange County Teen Court Attorney, hopefully Governor’s Page (selective admission), Arts Center Summer Camp Counselor

Summer Activities
Duke TIP Summer Studies one year (selective admission), volunteering, visiting family, summer camp, etc.

All right, what do you guys think??

idk... but if I was the adcom, I would doubt if I should accept a 16 girl to a college...

thats bull****. As long as you can prove that your apt for college, you'll be fine. uChicago accepted a 9-year-old a few years ago into medical school, since he proved that he was able. age doesnt matter at all.

I said I don't know!

Just so y'all know, I'll be turning 17 pretty much as soon as I get to college. I know maturity is definitely a valid concern, but I'm hoping it won't be seen as too big a problem.

I seriously doubt your age will be a problem

But a 1500 on the SAT????? I hope that's on the 1600 scale, but if not...

^Well looking at her other numbers, its pretty obvious thats on a 1600 scale

I have a 3.3 GPA if I told you I got a 1500 on the SAT you would probably think it's on the 2400 scale, but I didn't take the SAT; however, I got a 35 on my ACT :)

Can anyone help with chances?? And yeah, it's definitely on the 1600 scale. :)

anyone?? pleeeease?? :)

All I can say is that I think you have a legit shot anywhere
