Hey guys, international transfer applicant here. So, I took the sat and got 1500 (R 780 W 720, M 750) which is decent considering the schools I’m applying to (no ivies). But the thing is, I’m planning to transfer to study computer science, will colleges think it’s weird that my highest section is reading?
Btw, I can’t retake since the test is not going to be applied in my city in Jan. 21
Of course, they will look at your major and see its math intensive yet your scores (but grades, most importantly) don’t correspond…That is why tests aren’t the best indicator of your intelligence. Are your grades in math, science, and computer science (if you’ve taken classes) high? The importance may also vary between universities and liberal arts colleges. For ex. Your grades (and scores) should be very high in STEM for MIT, while for Amherst, you should be well rounded.
