So, i am a junior in high school right now, its a private catholic school in New York.
I just wanted to see what these colleges would be to me (safety, match, reach)
My Stats:
Junior in High School
GPA:3.6-3.7/4(My school doesnt tell your GPAs, i have a 90 average)
SAT: 1720(R-540;M-600;W-580)I am definitely taking them again and also the ACTs
Class Rank: Unknown, but most likely somewhere in the top 40%
Leadership: Attending New York Boys State this summer, in 4 clubs, some community service. Had a job since sophomore year. In NHS.
Colleges(Mostly for Engineering):
Villanova
Boston U
UDelaware
Bucknell
Carnegie Mellon
Lafayette
Lehigh
Manhattan College
Virginia Tech
Vanderbilt

Admissions will be very different next year. Schools will be accepting more than this year and therefore have to take less off their waitlist. If you don’t request financial aid your chances will go up. The worse the economy gets the better your chances.

Villanova - match
Boston U - match
UDelaware - match
Bucknell - reach
Carnegie Mellon - reach
Lafayette - match
Lehigh - reach
Manhattan College - safety
Virginia Tech - match
Vanderbilt - reach

Excellent chances at Manhattan. Villanova (ony 2 kids out of 11 got in here from our school and both were in the top 15% with SAT scores in the mid 2000s) has become very difficult to get into. Bucknell, CMU, Lafayette, Lehigh and Vanderbilt are reaches. Don’t know on the others. Best of luck! poi

Virginia Tech seems to be a definite reach
If you’re really interested in going to one school in particular, I’d reccomend applying early to a school.
