I have great letters of recommendation and I will do well in writing the essays. I'm debating about whether or not to apply here, I would really like to go to Notre Dame but the $75 application fee really causes me to hesitate to apply to a school I have no chance of getting in to(I can't apply for an application fee waiver). I understand my gpa isn't as high as it should be but I slacked off early in high school and I'm just now figuring out how to get my head on straight, I find the more challenging a class is with no silly busy work, the better I do.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!!

Both GPA and SAT are too low for ND.

ND’s Common Data Set shows that the middle 50% of enrolled freshmen had SAT scores of 1990-2260. It doesn’t specify a range for GPA, but it does indicate that 89% of freshmen were in the top 10% of their high school class.

Your EC’s sound above average (although not superior). You do not specify how rigorous your course load is.

Based on the quantitative measures, you would be in the bottom 10-20% of the freshman class. I agree with Aendos that your chances are a long shot, unless of course your last name is Te’o.
