Hi, I am an international student.
My school does not provide me dental insurance and I do not know anything about dental insurance plan. All my teeth are born to be weak and all have cavities. Moreover, I need to go on surgery for impacted wisdom tooth.

Pls someone suggest me an affordable plan with a reliable insurance company.

The problem with insurance is it usually would not cover pre existing conditions. Dentistry is cheaper in just about any country than the US, why not do the work at home.

If your school’s insurance plan doesn’t cover dental treatment (check, sometimes it does), get your procedures done at home. It will be far cheaper. Wisdom teeth surgery is very expensive even with insurance, and cavity fillings will come with deductibles. There is no point saving such procedures to be done here when you have a perfectly good option to do them at home (:

Even with decent insurance, wisdom tooth removal is roughly $1500 for 4 teeth. Get it done at home, since if you sign up for insurance here, your pre-existing conditions are not covered.

If you attend a university that has a Dental School, or if there is one nearby, you may be able to have some of your work done relatively inexpensively by students in the Dental School. It will be supervised, and reviewed by the Dental School faculty members so this isn’t particularly risky.

If you ask around, you may find a dentist near your university who is willing to put you on a payment plan so you don’t have to cough up the whole amount at once.
