Help! Need Info About Applying to UC's

<p>Hello:</p>

<p>I'm currently attending a Jr. college in California. I will be able to transfer to a UC by Spring 2014- though, I won't be able to attend a UC until Fall 2014 since they don't accept Spring admittance. </p>

<p>I don't know much about college because I am a first generation college student.</p>

<p>Q: How much in advance do I need to apply to UC's? Do they all only accept applications in November?
- If I plan to attend a UC in Fall 2014, then I apply for UC's in Fall 2013??</p>

<p>Q: Does this TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee) work? Is it worthwhile? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the TAG?</p>

<p>Q: How long after you apply will you find out if you've been accepted or not?</p>

<p>Any additional information you can offer about admissions and applications is greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Current GPA is 3.6.
Intended Major: English
Ideal schools: 1. CAL 2. UCLA 3. UC Santa Barbara 4. UC Davis</p>

<p>Call the admissions office of the school you want to apply to.</p>

<p>If you want to attend in the Fall of 2013, now is the time to apply. If you want to start in the Spring of 2014, you may be able to apply now for Fall of 2013, and ask for deferral until Spring of 2014. Again, ask the admissions office.</p>

<p>If you want to start in the Fall of 2014, then wait until Sept 2013.</p>
