Hello People,
I'm a first year law student from India.
I really need someone to help me out with college stress.
I'm really puzzled.
These are my problems:
1) College group-ism. (I'm not able to choose what people I should be with and that's getting me feel alone I have some friends to talk but yeah I really don't know should I join them or not because they are double standard)

2) Studies. (I'm trying my best to do. Even Impressed professors but I'm unsure can I carry it to exams, projects, etc.)

3) Attention. (Since I'm a guy, its natural I want some attention from girls, I'm getting a bit but how to handle it? I don't Know)

Some of you may find it really small issue but I'm stressed about it. Please help!!!

If you have just begun college this July, give it some time.

Do not be in a hurry to impress the Professors. Let your class assignments, puntuality, quality of work and participation do the talking for you.

As for friends, if you approach that with “everybody has double standards”, you will find it very difficult to get along. So shed biases, approach people with an open mind, give others a chance, and ‘all are nice till they actually do something otherwise’ so give them time. Remember “Khichdi” that is cooked slowly will always turn out to be the best, if you try to cook rice too fast, they will eiher burn or overcook, or be undercooked.

Now ‘girls’, that is a topic your friends here on CC will be help you better with. But being a mom parent of a D myself, I can tell you girls like boys who, to start with, are confident of themselves and are warm and friendly, can hold an intelligent conversation, are sensitive and have a fair amount of sense of humour.

And do some meditation and deep breathing. Trust me these issues can be sorted out easily with a calm mind and being accepting and tolerant of both, yourself and others.

I’m really thankful to you for helping me out with these issues. I tried them and I’m going great I hope to secure some academic success as well :)
