It’s the end of the school year, and my parents want me to give gift cards to my teachers. Should I thank them for being good teachers when I give them the gift cards? People at my school don’t usually do this kind of thing, and I feel like it’ll be extremely awkward.
A little note saying thanks for a great year will do it.
When you hand them to your teachers, you can just say “Hi Mrs. Smith, I just wanted to thank you and give you this.”
Your parents are really on the right track. Teachers aren’t thanked enough. With or without gift cards teachers will really appreciate a personal, handwritten note from you.
A couple of years ago an envelope arrived in the mail for my 16-year-old daughter. Inside was a note that I had written to my fifth grade teacher back in 1968. He had kept it for 45 years, and now wanted her to have it!
