Help on College Decision, ED/EA or Regular Decision

I have a problem, and I would like to ask for your opinion.

Should I apply REA to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc… or ED to Ivy Leagues (those that offer them), or EA to MIT, U of Chicago, etc… or should I wait until Regular Decision

Currently I have a 32 on the ACT, I have a 4.3 GPA, I have all the “material” to be considered, but my main problem is that I don’t have SAT Subject Tests. I have an 800 in Spanish and that’s it. The next SAT date is October 3rd and I don’t feel that I am prepared to succeed in that test date; however, if I take it in November or December I feel I can get a 700+ in Physics, Math II, and U.S. History.

I want to study either Engineering or Law, so I know I need some subject tests. I feel that if I apply early, I would be wasting an application to a school.

Anyways, what is your opinion on my case?

Thanks

Looks like you should wait until RD based on the dates the scores would be available. You don’t study Law in undergrad. Law is a post graduate school and you can major in anything for UG.

You can’t really study engineering at UChicago.

Apply ED only to schools that are your top choice. So far, it seems that the Ivies that do offer ED (Brown, Penn, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth) are not your top choices so don’t do ED.
32 ACT is a tad low to apply SCEA to Harvard, Yale, Stanford as the early applicant pool is so competitive.
I’d just wait and send in all your apps regular decision to have the time to take the subject tests and possibly the ACT one more time (32 is a little low for schools like those if you have no hook).
