I'm in high school starting my senior year in the fall, and I'm trying to decide whether early decision/early action are realistic options for me. My dilemma is that I still need to take SAT Subject tests in the fall and I would also like to take the regular SAT again. However I understand that with most ED/EA programs, I would not have time to do both (I could take the Subject Tests in Oct. but the Nov. date to take the reg. SAT is after most ED/EA apps are due). I've also heard that acceptance rates are higher for early applicants - I know this is partially due to a stronger applicant pool, but I figure it can't hurt to apply early if possible.

So my question is, should I apply ED/EA and keep my current SAT scores (they would get the Oct. Subject test scores) or wait to apply regular decision so they can see my (hopefully) higher SAT scores. My current SAT scores are Reading: 720, Math: 690, Writing: 730.

Thanks!
