Help on CSU/UC GPA on college applications

Hello everyone. I am currently a senior looking to apply to CSU's and UC's, and I have run into trouble about GPA calculations for my college apps. I know that for UC's, they only look at your 10th and 11th grade scores, but the application for CSU's says from 10th - 12th grade. So...

Several questions:
1. First of all, do I include my 12th grade scores in CSU apps? I have straight A's now, but I know they aren't set in stone until next semester.

Do I use my academic GPA or my "cumulative" (correct me if I misuse the term) GPA. My transcript provides me with my academic GPA, but I have taken Football Theory during 10th (and 9th) grade. I know it's not considered academics since it doesn't show up in GPA, but do I factor that grade anyways?

Unweighted or weighted GPA? I am provided with my weighted GPA in my transcript, but I have heard some colleges prefer unweighted etc.. Which leads to my next question.

Can I still apply to UC's if my unweighted GPA is UNDER 3.0? My weighted GPA is just over 3.0, so I know that my unweighted with my AP/Honors would make it fall under 3.0.

Here are my grades if it would help you guys answer my questions. First column is first semester, and second is second semester. Chem Honors gave me a GPA bonus taken during 10th grade, along with my AP classes of course.

I really appreciate you guys for taking your time to help me out. I would like to thank all of you in advance.

I’ll do my best to answer your questions.

No, only include final grades. Since you won’t have final grades for senior year, you do not report them.

The GPA as you have calculated them in your post is your UC GPA and is the one they want. Unless Football Theory is a college prep class (I’m guessing it is not), it does not get included. Although I just looked at my son’s application just now and I didn’t see where they ask for your gpa. It looks like the UCs ask you to list all of your classes and your grades. I think the UCs calculate it themselves. Either that or I overlooked it. I do recall the CSU application asking for your gpa. Don’t worry too much about if you get it wrong because they recalculate it again anyway (it makes me wonder why they even ask the kids to do it in the first place).

Weighted.

Yes, still apply. UC’s care about the UC GPA, which is weighted.

Good luck!
