okay, so over the summer i have studied many books on the SAT and recently have worked on 2 practice tests from the college board and here are my scores:
Math CR Writing
730 560 540
740 580 540

I really need help on CR and Writing and also on tips for getting a perfect score in math. My SAT date is on October 4 so is there anything i can do to increase my score before that date?

Um... Study more? Your math is probably low because you make careless mistakes. Are you using all of your time? If not, then you should be. If you are, then you will not be getting the 800 any time soon.

For the others, improving from such a low score should be fairly easy. Dont expect some miracle like 700s, but 600+ should be within reach. I dont really know what advice to give because i never actually studied for my SATs.

Well, I'm not one to give advice (lolz 1690 SAT score), but the general advice I get from people here:

Writing: Just learn grammar rules cold. No other way around it. For the essay, use examples from history, literature, and cite specific events to fortify your thesis.

Critical Reading: Just read more SAT passages, newspaper articles, advanced books, etc. Learning some vocab couldn't hurt, either.

Read the Princeton Review summary of tips for writing the essay. Follow the structure PR suggests. Have examples ready to go. Certain books lend themselves to many essays because they have so many themes. Go to SparkNotes to refresh themes from books.

CB website has examples of essays with scores of 1-6. This can be helpful, too.

Writing scores go up tremendously with just a little bit of practice. Get those grammar rules down.... look at some SAT books because the ETS only uses a few rules. Plural nouns to plural pronouns as well as singular to singular is a BIG one. The essay can easily be accomplished with just a few examples in mind. Follow a basic, neat, 5-paragraph essay format. Be concise.. don't ramble. Organize well and get your ideas down, nothing else. Up Your Score has a good section on essay writing.
