First, I improved my score from 1300 to 1710 but now i need more improvement.
I already took the Princeton prep course and have a tutor so i know basically most tips people tell me. I wanted to know if there anything else for me to know or should i just practice and review until my score goes up??
No, basically that. Just make sure to make out the most of each mistake.
okay
What were your scores in critical reading, math, and writing? I personally think writing is the easiest to bring up. I started scoring in the 750’s from the 550’s after about 3 weeks of constant practice–maybe you can too (:
@Cece0499 wot?! What book/tip did you use to bring it up so much :o
Erica Meltzer’s guide to SAT grammar is amazing. 560 -> 790
@Cece0499 i have a 570 math, 560 reading, and 580 writing
I never used Erica Meltzer’s grammar book, but I did go to a test prep that helped me tremendously! For the essay portion, I would suggest you create pre-made lists of universal topics in history and literature and ALWAYS write the 2 full pages–make stuff up if you need to because ETS DOES NOT CARE. My test prep class stressed the length of essays soo much. For the grammar part ALWAYS identify the subject and verb and really know your parts of speech! Improving your essay to the 10’s or above will help soo so much. I remember scoring 5s/ 6s on the essays with 550’s/560’ in writing. Bringing your essay up 4 or 5 points can give you some 60-70 points on your writing score alone.
Writing is seriously the quickest to bring up if you’re low on time. You can easily jump from a 580 to 700+ in about 2-3 weeks if you’re ready to practice. For math, I would review geometry and algebra I haven’t broken a 700 yet but I’m improving slowly by just going over basic concepts, then for cr reading I would suggest reading the longer passages first, then sentence completion and lastly do the short double passages to maximize your points–I used this strategy for about 2 practice tests and my score jumped from the mid/high 500s to the mid 600’s. If I find some more tips that work for me I’ll definitely share them with you.
