Help on major?

I'm applying to UC Berkeley, Irvine, Davis, and LA.

I want to major in a science field such as biology to get my prerequisites for dental school but I'm also fascinated in journalism. I was planning on double majoring in bio/journalism or media studies but which major should I apply to the campuses with? I know it's harder getting into it with a bio major (or so I've heard). Any feedback is appreciated :)

For Berkeley’s College of Letters and Science, major does not matter for freshman admission; all entering freshmen enter undeclared. You would then have to complete the prerequisites and declare the major. A few majors, like media studies, require applying to declare (the molecular and cell biology and integrative biology majors can just be declared after completing the prerequisites). Some smaller biology majors are in the Berkeley’s College of Natural Resources.

Should I apply to Berkeley as a media studies major then? UCB is my first choice for college so I do want to make the right choices.
