Help out the typical indian with his typical sat predicament!!

Hey guys,
So my score is at a 2020 like many of you guys.
My breakdown is 650 cr. 680 math. 690 writing
i usually assume too much on cr i guess and get questions wrong.
on math i usually get 1 question wrong every section and leave 1 question blank.
on writing i usually get 5 wrong in the 35 question set. and then 1 wrong in the 14 question set.
what material should i get to get that 2400?

What materials should i go through?

Again, school has started so i am trying to get the max improvement with the least effort.

ive heard of dr chungs and grubers? is dr chungs overkill? is grubers too basic? what should i do to get the 800?

thanks guys, please just tell me all the materials you used and which ones you found most helpful.

Well I went from 2050 -> 2300 doing practice tests, so just do practice tests I guess

damn which practice tests did you do?

He probably used the Blue Books tests. Also, Google up some past tests.

yup I went from 2080 –> 2240 in 4 practice tests lol…

I’m indian and right now i have a 1600 SAT score :/

One question: When someone says “overkill”, what does that mean? I think I know but im not too sure  .

i mean like dr. chungs is 20 tests and 50 tips and their all hard as hell. so i mean yes i am trying to avoid that. but @stuckintheair. ive done 2 practice tests and i just went from 2020 to 2070. is that all you have to do? just keep doing the blue book? like what about the nagging errors you always get?

how do you use the BB? you take the practice test and then look over the explaination to wrong answers? or you just take the test and onto the next one?

@parthp1128… i would say deffinetly look over the answers otherwise you would have no idea what you did wrong…

and does anyone know what books to get for writing,cr, and math when you get 650+ in every section for an easy boost?

yeah, I’m thinking practice tests too, as I’m currently no where near my target range…I hope that those practice tests will do but I need to squeeze in time. I have the BB as well, and Im hoping it’ll help like a 300 point jump

You do the practice tests with FOCUS. Type up your essay online and use the peer grades. While you take the test, circle all questions your were unsure off and all vocab words you didn’t know. Next day, go score test + review. If you want, you could do some assistance work for your weakest points i.e. write a essay everyday.

Good luck man, and blue devils all the way!

Can some answer my question? :)

heyoo fella.
me an indian as well and i almost gimace when i tell people my first attempt SAT score : 800 C 800 W and JUST 690 in MATH!! haha almost an ignominy to the term indian, that!

anyway do ALL the blue book tests and message me your id or something and i’l mail you some past tests…
