I submitted by application yesterday and on the utdirect website it says it's incomplete. They have my transcript and test scores though. They are currently reviewing my senior year course schedule. Is my application actually incomplete or do they just need more time for it to be called complete? Anybody know? A quick answer would be greatly appreciated!!

If it says that it’s incomplete and that they’re reviewing your senior year course schedule, you’re fine. That “incomplete” is different than an actual incomplete application. Mine did that after even saying it was complete, but then pretty soon after it changed it’s status to a big green “complete” on my dashboard for the regular application. Don’t worry!

thank you so much! I was freaking out.

For some things, it’s better to not procrastinate… If they received everything by the deadline, then you are fine.

Haha I had my fair share of paranoia attacks with this app too… but hopefully everything went well for the both of us!

I know, I definitely shouldn’t have cut it so close to the deadline. I don’t normally do that, which is probably why I’m freaking out so much. Hopefully everything will work out!

same. so If I submitted the app 20 mins before the deadline haha, will I still be reviewed for the priority deadline? Even though it says

“If you submit items near the end of the application cycle, they may not appear online before the deadline (even if they do arrive in time).”

Does this mean that because they will receive my app later than the deadline, even though I submitted it before the deadline online, that I won’t be reviewed for the priority deadline???

December 1 is the regular deadline date. I’m not sure what priority deadline you’re talking about.

And that just means that even if you submit your items arrive in time, they might not show up yet on your application status online just because of the time it takes for processing. Just because it doesn’t show up online doesn’t necessarily mean that they don’t have it.

sorry I meant regular decision. ok good. i also read that people submitting online applications must submit before midnight central time, yet those sending in paper apps have to do so up to 2-3 weeks in advance. I think im in the clear… sigh

It wouldn’t hurt to email your admissions advisor just to confirm. You can find the link on the UT website. I know a top student who missed the deadline and is currently attending, umm, A&M.
