I was wondering if I have a chance for a prestigious college
(currently a junior)... Please don't be rude I know my profile isn't very impressive (but people around me have told me that I can get accepted into a "high ranked university")

GPA:
Freshmen 4.0
Sophomore 3.8
Junior [currently 3.8]

AP:
AP World History
AP Physics 1

ECs:
chess club, Japanese club, Leo club (a type of community service club), science club, HOSA,
attended Art Far East in Japan 2012 ("selected" art students go on a week trip to Japan for art appreciation and mini competitions-- I put "selected" because the school I attended at the moment was a DoDea with a student body of 100 kids (more or less-- very small school))
----- I was invited to join the National Honors Society but I couldn't join due to hardships

I couldnt really do anything my freshmen and sophomore year due to hardships so the majority of my EC list is stuff I'm doing in my junior year
I've gone to two high schools so far. I was doing well academically at my first school which was a "DoDea" school but when I moved back to America (during the second half of my sophomore year) my academic performance plummeted because I couldn't adjust to the environment and grading systems (I now attend a high school in Hawaii)

My "background":
female with single parent military father
ethnicity- Native American Cherokee, German, Irish, Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, (possibly English as well)

At my first high school the teachers really liked me and I was happy to be their student because they taught with such passion (even if they were one of those "mean" teachers). While I was there a lot of my teachers were blown away at my work ethic and even told me that I did not have to work so hard. My principle told me that I was one of the best students in the school (but this school was the small DoDea school). When I had to move I left this school with a 4.0 GPA. When I arrived at my school in Hawaii my performance dropped because I couldn't adjust to a lot of things (teachers, weather, etc... but it wasn't academics! This school was a quarter and a half behind the curriculum of my first school).

My junior year isn't very "strong". I didn't put in as many AP classes I wanted because I didn't know what to do for my schedule (I only have AP physics 1 and honors classes). There were course requirements I had to take to graduate from the Hawaii school such as PDI, Hawaiian History, and two other things so I didn't know what I could and couldn't take. Not to mention I didn't know I could sign up for an AP class even if I didn't attend it's "AP meeting". As well, when I tried to redo my schedule I felt like I was irritating my councilor too much so I just took whatever that was "available" (now i'm in very easy classes which I don't really like).

I was reaching for JHU or WUSTL (I would like to become a biomedical engineer! :D)... but given the results of my profile do I even have a chance?

(btw I know my English in this is really bad ... for some reason I can't write properly on online post discussions)

Thank you for reading this!
