For my georgetown application it says its due march 1st and tyodays sunday so i cant call admissions.

I want to submit part I, but don't have 65 bucks. My mom can mail that from home but I am in a different state so I can't attach my 65 bucks for the app fee.

can i send it now and have my mom send the app fee separately? or will they not even look at my app with no fee?

To my knowledge, yes. There isn’t a mechanism for online submission of the recommendations, etc.

Though I was under the assumption that GT required the Deans/Secondary/Recommendations to be postmarked by the March 1st date. I wasn’t entirely sure if that was pushed back with Part II of the application.

Thanks Deep Blue! I just submitted my part 1.

It says that it is March 1st, but from my experience as a freshman applicant last year, they are extremely flexible and will take late recommendations. :D

i believe Georgetown extended its application deadline to march 15th cuz they were a little late on posting part II online…and they’re behind on evaluating applications because of all the snow and days off

Good luck, everyone! The snow on the east coast, in general, has been crazy. Many of my classes were cancelled (yay), but will have to be made up (boo).

Haha. The one realistic thing “Deep End” has going for it is that associates, indeed, are owned by the partners. Everything else in the show is an exaggerated manifestation of that fact.

The most realistic vision of big firm life, I think, is in A Civil Action. In that movie, you see a personal injury attorney go up against two big firm heavyweights: Foley, Hoag and Eliot (which today is kind of 2nd tier in Boston) and Hale and Dorr (now known as WilmerHale; it’s the gold standard in Boston).

I haven’t really seen anything else, and for good reason. Big firm life really isn’t suitable for television, me thinks.
