<p>A girl and I both requested each other as roommates, but she just sent me a message saying that she got off the waitlist at another school, and is no longer going to Cornell. What should I expect to happen instead of rooming with her? Will I be put in a single, or randomly paired up? Does anyone know if there is still a chance of requesting a new roommate?</p>
<p>you probably will not have a chance to request a new roommate, although if you definitely had someone in mind you could probably call the housing office to see if there’s anything you can do.
if not, you could end up getting a single, particularly if you rated that as your second choice after having a double when you filled out your housing form. you could also end up getting a randomly assignment roommate (or roommates.)</p>
