Help!

I uploaded the additional information twice (once in the additional information and once in the Personal Essay section) and the Common App is out the door... Should I email the Personal Essay to the admissions or what should I do?

Advice please!

Yes, you should email the colleges and let them know that you slipped up by uploading your additional info document twice. Be sure to include your Common App ID in your email and in the header of your essay to make it easier to match up with your file.

Good luck!

I was going to snail mail a hard copy - do you think I should email the essay to the admissions office as well? I was also considering faxing it. Don’t know which is most appropriate.

Thanks for the luck - we’ll need it!

For those following the thread, I emailed the college admissions’ offices and one representative replied the following morning (12/30 at 8:30 am) :

"Thank you for the email, we will be sure to add the personal essay to your daughter’s file when it arrives. Please be assured it is not a problem and will not affect her application. "

FWIW, I snail mailed and faxed a copy yesterday morning, the snail mail just in case.

Problem solved!
