Help! SAT date conflict

Can someone please offer me suggestions to my dilemma?

I have decided to take the October SAT so that I can apply early to colleges that either offer EA or rolling admissions. Currently, my SAT score is low (630V 690 M 630W), and I had planned to study over the summer so that I can do better in the fall. However, I have registered for a Leadership Conference that same weekend that is from the 6th to the 9th (the SAT is the 8th). What are my options?

Should I take the test near the Leadership Conference? (stressful!) Or should I register for the ACT instead? (that would involve studying a whole new format) Because I am the state president for the national organization that is sponsoring the conference, my attendance is mandatory. Nonetheless, last year's state president was unable to attend because he had a major marching band competition, and he was the drum major.

Colleges take November scores for early apps, if that helps...

not all. Yale won't take your SAT for EA if you take it in november.

ask the college, not us.

Take the SAT and then go to the rest of the conference.

From the Yale website, "November 5 is the last test date on which SAT I or SAT II Subject Tests may be taken for Single-Choice Early Action consideration." Most colleges will take the November test, so that option is open (but check each college's website or call the admissions office to be sure).
