HELP SAT II World History and Biology Pleeeez

Hey guys, I am a rising junior and plan to take the World History SAT II in December. At the end of my sophomore year, I took the AP Exam and did REALLY WELL on it. So I decided to take the SAT II WH. On the collegeboard practice tests I scored a 770 and 780. However for some reason my actual score turned out to be a 700.

So I've decided to retake it, I have the AP Prep book from Barrons and Princeton Review, should I buy a seperate one for the SAT II or are AP books fine. Plz gimme some effective strategies that can help me study. Also should I read them more than once since I took the AP class?

Also, I took the normal Biology class at the end of last year, I plan to take the SAT II Biology in October. I have the Barrons SAT II Biology and the sparknotes one. How many times should I read them. Can someone PLEASE gimme some effective studying and test taking strategies.

Feedback will be REALLY appreciated :)

Btw my goals on both of them are 750+

Well I self studied 2 APs this year (Psych and CompGov) and got two 5's. I'm going to use the same study plan for my self study of the Bio SATII in Nov. I recommend reading your Barrons Bio book twice (or maybe even three times). The first time you should highlight important information (or info you don't remember) while you read through. The next time read your highlights. If you're paranoid, read the book once more the night before. I tend to remember more when I highlight as I read (I guess that's called an "active" learner). Perhaps that strategy will work for you too.

For the World History SATII (I got a 770 and 5), just read AP Barrons. Focus on stuff you don't remember or problem areas. Quickly review everything else.

WOW Illpitch, it seems like you have an AMAZING work ethic, I could never read 267 pages in one day. I really admire your stamina. Thanks a lot for the advice, I will definitely read the Barrons SAT II prep thrice or even four times.

Anyone else have some good suggestions :)

I agree with AP Barron's. I read up to 1750 and still got into the mid 700's. I wouldn't use PR - way too sparse on the details and I preferred Barron's serious "down to business" tone over PR's.

Its the end of July, so if i can read the AP Barrons WH 3 times, the last time being b/w 1-3 December, will I be able to score a 760+ or should I read more ?

Any suggestions :P
