i took the june sat lit test and got a 670
if it wasn’t a subject i wasnt good at, i wouldnt complain about a bad score, but i aced ap literature with a solid a, got a 5 on the ap exam, and 36 in reading for act. I took barrons practice tests and got about 730s to 740s. I was also super confident after the test. What could be the issue???!! Pls help because i might retake in august and i want to fix the problem.
Literature has one of the lowest average scores of the subject tests. It’s a difficult test, but I think you’re right. If you’ve taken AP Lit and received a 5 on the AP exam, then I would tend to think that you could score higher than 670, although I think that’s a pretty darn good score for Literature.
I have no idea if or how the scores from the Barron’s practice tests correlate to the actual test. I’ve read online that the Literature practice tests in the prep books aren’t all that helpful to actual Literature test.
I’d definitely take the test in August. You have about 4-5 weeks to prepare.
Given the vast subject area, I would think this would be a hard test to study for and just hope you get questions that line up with what’s in your repertoire.
