My daughter has to make a decision ASAP!!! We can't decide what to do... I am worried about her going to SDSU, I know both schools are party schools, but I also have heard that the SDSU students end up partying in Tijuana and things are alot wilder and not as safe! It's also way too large for a young girl from a very small town and small school. Chico is closer to our home and a smaller school so she would not be as overwhelmed and more access hopefully to professors???? Anyone have input???? She isn't sure what she wants to go into. Maybe someday Law, right now probably Psychology or Comunications...

Chico definitely. Better school overall. Very big on partying, but definitely less than San Diego State...

My daughter is at Chico and she loves it. I had exactly the same concerns about SDSU but in the end she fell in love with the "college town" atmosphere at Chico so the decision was easy. It really depends on the experience she is looking for but academically you really can't go wrong with either. As far as partying goes they are both right up there, but Chico is in the middle of revamping the Greek system and trying to shed that whole image, so things are much stricter than they used to be.
